The Art of Detecting and Documenting Feigned Mental Illness

**Previously recorded during the 2020 Virtual National Conference on Correctional Health Care

Presented by: Allison Genberg LCSW CCHP and Joel Federbush MD

Correctional setting pose many unique challenges. Behavioral health clients have multiple reasons to feign mental health symptoms in correctional settings, which create the need for clinicians to complete a strong objective vs. subjective assessment and document their findings in a clear and thorough fashion. This presentation will engage learners in a fun and didactic session where the research on lying and the ability to determine its presence will be reviewed.

Educational Objectives
