Clinical Best Practices in STI Screening and Diagnostics in Correctional Health Care

This webinar will review guidelines for screening, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections within correctional facilities. It will discuss the CDC screening guidelines for trichomoniasis testing for HIV-positive women and people receiving care in high prevalence areas, such as in STD clinics and correctional facilities. Participants will also learn more about new, emerging STIs.

About the presenter

Barb Dehn is a practicing women’s health nurse practitioner and a television health expert known as Nurse Barb. She is a guest lecturer at Stanford University, provides OB/GYN health care for women in the heart of Silicon Valley and is an award-winning author. Barb is also active in social media, contributing content to many online sources including her blog, Nurse Barb’s Daily Dose, and has more than 30,000 Twitter followers. Barb earned her BSN degree at Boston College and her master’s at University of California – San Francisco. She is certified by the North American Menopause Society and is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
